ABOUT

At the age of twelve I uncovered my father’s 35mm camera and developed an interest in nature photography. Throughout my teens I would spend hours hiking through the hills of Southern New Jersey and Pennsylvania, searching for wildlife & serene landscapes. During this time I worked to hone the craft of shooting slide film. My work went on to be published in Nature's Best Photography and Popular Photography, along with work showcased in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

In my early twenties, I abandoned photography, partly to pursue filmmaking, but largely because of my dismay of the growing trend of ‘superficial social media photography.’ During the next decade I would focus on narrative & documentary filmmaking, but I’d often feel the desire to return to my roots. I eventually realized how foolish it was that I stopped shooting, while photographers with vision shot through the noise to create meaningful images.

In 2015 I uncovered the very same 35mm camera my father bestowed to me as a child. This time, however, my aim being people rather than nature. As a street photographer, I've been fortunate to travel across the world, including much of Western Europe, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, and Israel. My approach is identical to my past life as a nature shooter: one that appreciates candid moments above all else.
